He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Tyler (Young); his son William F. Tyler Jr.; and his brother Stephen L. Tyler. He is survived by: his children, Elizabeth L. Tyler (John Kindl) and Robert S. Tyler (Ellen); his grandchildren, Jeff Grondahl (Nicole), Kevin Grondahl, Scott Grondahl, Samantha Tyler, Kali Tyler, Matthew Tyler and Emily Tyler; and his great grandchildren, Abbey Grondahl and Kara Grondahl. He is also survived by four nieces and one nephew.
