He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Callahan and Rita "Puppy" Callahan; and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his wife Linda A. (Durgin) of South Yarmouth; his daughters, Julie (Terry Shields) of Deerfield, MA and Sarah (Jason Chalmers) of Milton, MA; his sisters, Becky, Sally and Joanne; and his siblings-in-law, Jack, Brian and Alice.
