She was predeceased by: her parents, William and Catherine; her husband Louis F. Dovell; and her brother Francis. She is survived by: her children, Michael Dovell (Katherine), David Dovell (Lesa) of Yarmouth, Catherine Dovell-Llanes (Paul) of South Yarmouth, Peter Dovell, Louis Dovell and Vickie. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind.
