She was predeceased by: her former husband Konstantinos Mitrokostas; her parents, Vasilios Skamnelos and Alexandra Skamnelos (Avdikou); her brother Demetrios Skamnelos of Ioannina; and her brother-in-law Theodoros Stoilas of Yarmouth, MA..

She is survived by: her husband Kostas; her children, Frances Barrett (Andrew) of Milton, MA, Alexandra Chakalis (John) of Newton, MA and Nicholas Mitrokostas (Claire) of Newton, MA; her grandchildren, Katharine, Christopher, Victoria Barrett, Evangeline, George, Kostandinos Chakalis, Constantine, Grace and Alexios Mitrokostas; her sisters, Panagiota Stoilas of Yarmouth, MA and Eleni Kostoulas (Christos) of Ioannina, Greece; and her sister-in-law Maria Skamnelou of Ioannina, Greece. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Frederika's name to St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Centerville, MA.
