He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Mathews and Rosanna Mathews (Morris); his son-in-law Dominic Passaro; his siblings, Frances Mathews, Charles L. Mathews, Jr., Wallace E Mathews and Arthur L. Mathews; and his niece Charlene Mathews.
He is survived by: his wife Janet M Mathews (Hennessy); his children, Timothy Mathews (Jennifer) of Mattapoisett, Michael Mathews (Suzanne) of West Yarmouth, Mary Susan Passaro of Winthrop and Jill Hedin (David) of South Yarmouth; his grandchildren, Timothy, Casey, Zachary, Shane, Jessica Mathews, Nicholas, Daniel Passaro and Nicole Caron; and his great grandchild Charles Caron. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their spouses.
