He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frank Carlsen and Dorothy Carlsen (Herland); his spouse Harle Steere; his daughter Harle Watson (John); his grandchildren, Kristen Hourihan (Dan, Jeanne Hess), Mike Moffa, John Watson III (Courtney, Jake Hess), Vanessa Larson and Brian Watson; his great grandchildren, Cooper, Quinn, Beckett, Jack and Charlie; and his daughter Marcia Hess.

Alan R. Carlsen 87 of South Dennis died Thursday December 27, 2018 at The Terraces in Orleans, after a long but brave battle with Alzheimer's disease.
