Kathleen L. Geary Obituary

Kathleen L. Geary, age 69, of South Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of Steven J. Geary.

Born in Gloucester, Kathleen attended Gloucester High School and worked at Gorton's of Gloucester for 36 years before retiring in 2007. Kathleen enjoyed rides along the New Hampshire coast and the Back Shore of Gloucester with her husband, spending time with her beloved grandson, and coffee on Wednesdays with the girls.

Those who knew Kathy remember her sense of humor, quick wit, and how much she loved her family and friends.

In addition to her husband Steven, Kathleen is survived by her son, Michael J. Geary. and his wife Jennifer of Rowley; her grandson, Orion; siblings, Natalie Ellard and husband John of Gloucester, Jean Bronecki and husband Emil of Baraboo, WI, Jack DeCoste and his wife Debbie of West Brookfield, Barbara Hodges of Nahant, Carole Gilardi and her husband Sal of Gloucester, and Norma Lyons and her husband Charlie of Peabody. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Jack DeCoste; brother-in-law, Winthrop Hodges; and close friend, Robert Strescino.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, from 4-7:00p.m. in the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester.
