He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore A. Hamel, Sr. and Helen M. Hamel (Pysz); his sister Barbara M. Javorski; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas E. Javorski, James J. "Jimmie" Welch, Raymond Barron (Sheila Baker), Beverly White and Anna Beauchemin.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara M. Barron; his daughters, Annalise N. Hamel-Acosta (Frank Acosta) of Chicopee, Melissa L. Thomas (John) of Chicopee and Michelle A. Sergneri (Paul) of Chicopee; his grandchildren, Isabella, Trent Acosta, Michael, Brandon Thomas, Sarah Ames and Matthew Sergneri; his sisters, Joan H. Welch of Chicopee and Doris A. Sparko (David) of South Hadley; and his siblings-in-law, Christine Lagimonier (Bob), Sandra Barron and Lester White. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, friends.
