He is survived by: his parents, Ronald Thornton (Babe) and Helen Thornton; his wife Ruth Thornton (Hennequin); his children, Kathy Holmes (Marty), Hadley, Susan Rigali (Brian) of Southampton, Michael Thornton (Pam) of Granby, Peter Thornton (Tina) and Longmeadow; and his brother John Thornton. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
