It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Normand H. Yelle of South Hadley, Massachusetts, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 8, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond A. and Yelle (Perreault) of Florida. He is survived by: his wife Pauline A. Yelle (Desrosiers); his daughter Doreen M. Bell (Andrew); his grandson Aidan M. Bell of Rutland, MA; his sister Lorraine Lapointe (Normand) of South Hadley; his nieces, Debra Boucher (Eric) of Westfield, Donna Desmarais (Donald) of Westfield and Sandra Erhardt (Robert) of Portage, MI; and his nephew Roger Lapointe (Deborah) of Agawam. He is also survived by great nieces, great nephews, extended family members and friends.
His Committal Service with United States Army Military Honors will follow the Mass at 1 p. m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001, (please note that masks are required, social distancing must be observed and capacity at the funeral home, church and cemetery chapel are limited due to state regulations).
His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Sainte Rose de Lima Church, c/o 15 Chapel Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
