She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Winter and Anna Winter (Voigtlander); and her brother Robert Winter. She is survived by: her husband Charles Hamilton; her children, Laurel Fremgen (Wolfgang) of Schriesheim, Germany, Charles Hamilton (Mary) of Chesapeake, VA and Karen (Patrick); her grandchildren, Leonie (Mirjam), Christopher, Jeremiah (Benjamin) and Aaron (Chloe); and her great grandchildren, Ruby and Reese. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
