We are sad to announce that on February 7, 2022, at the age of 89, Margaret A. Parsons of South Hadley, Massachusetts, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew B. Parsons III; her grandson Nicholas Parsons; her parents-in-law, Andrew B. Jr. and Una Parsons; her sister Frances Gosselin; her brother-in-law Joseph V. Gosselin Sr.; her nephew Joseph V. Gosselin Jr.; and her godson James Gosselin.
She is survived by: her caregiver Aide; her children, Stephen Parsons (Karen) of Bradford, VT, Kathleen Yelle of West Springfield, MA, Deborah Smith of Holyoke, MA, Thomas Parsons (Cindy) of Easthampton, MA, Elizabeth Parsons of South Hadley, MA, Andrea Dennett (Larry) of Turners Falls, MA, Kristen Atkins (Harvey) of Greenfield, MA and Timothy Parsons (Sheri) of South Hadley, MA.; her grandchildren, Daphne Naylor (Jeremy), Erin Corriveau, Meghan Smith, Nathan Parsons, Gretchen Irby (Matt), Bryan Parsons, Lauren Stauble (Kurt), Tyler Parsons (Crystal), Andrew Yelle, Matthew Dennett, Joseph Parsons (Jenna), Katheryn Chandler (Dan), Tiffany Dennett, Geoffrey Parsons, Zachary Dennett (Samantha), Casey Parsons, Jocelyn Dennett, Jonathan Atkins, Timothy Atkins, Isabella Parsons, Spencer Parsons and Lydia Parsons; her sister Karen DeSantis (Jeffrey); her siblings-in-law, George Parsons (Susan) and Susan Oparowski; and her godchildren, Nadine Lempke and Stephen L'Heureux. She is also survived by twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She loved to play card and board games especially Scrabble, and during the height of the COVID lockdown managed to join ZOOM bingo at her local senior center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peg's memory to one of her favorite charities: South Hadley Public Library, South Hadley Council on Aging, Holyoke Public Library, or Holyoke Senior Center.
