James Hamel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Hamel of South Hadley, Massachusetts, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 7, 2020 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Q. Hamel and Phyllis Hamel (Blanchette); his wife Donna M. Hamel (Gajda); his children, Justin Hamel (Gretchen) of Colorado, Michael Hamel (Lisa Hilt) and Laurin Kofidis (Harry) of Belchertown; his grandchildren, Emma, Lucas, Eli and Jacob; his siblings, Thomas Hamel of Holyoke, John Hamel (Sue) of Granby and Melanie Smith (David) of Holyoke; his mother-in-law Stella Gajda; and his brother-in-law Paul Gajda. He was also cherished by numerous other relatives and friends.
