He is survived by: his wife Beatrice (Swire); his children, Laura Kaplan Benson (Leonard Benson), Janet Kaplan, Bucciarelli Jacobs (Mark Bucciarelli) and Susan Kaplan Jacobs (Michael Jacobs); his siblings, Eleanor Kaplan Klein and Burton Kaplan (Shirley); his sibling-in-law Elaine Swire Fink (Stephen); his grandchildren, John Shanley, Will Shanley (Rachel), Joy Shanley, Michelle Shanley, Brian Thomas Jacobs, Joshua Jacobs (Erika Kitzmiller), Sophie Kaplan and Jonas Kaplan; his stepgrandson Brett Babin (Vanessa Heckman); and his great grandchildren, Drake Caleb Schall, Luke Kitzmiller Jacobs, Sylvia Rose Kitzmiller Jacobs and Eva Soleil Shanley.
