He is survived by: his wife Joan; his sons, Frederick Wanat Jr. (Joanne) and Paul Wanat (Kathy); his grandchildren, Alexandra, Matthew, Melissa and Nicholas; his great grandchildren, Myla and Wells; and his niece Christine Rybak.
