Schiappa of South Hadley, Massachusetts, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert LaBrie and Jeannette LaBrie (Edwards); and her husband Joseph Schiappa. She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanann Gilbert (Floyd) of Erin, NY, Theresa Schiappa of Hatfield, MA and Helene DeSantis (David) of Ludlow, MA; her grandchildren, Kevin Kennedy (Corinne), Joey Novelli (Rachel), Theresa McLoughlin (Pete) and Joseph Morin (Kyrstin); her great grandchildren, Peter, Raeleigh McLoughlin, Victor and Logan Morin; and her siblings, Lorraine Ensor, Linda Sigda (Joe) and Albert LaBrie (Marilyn).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernice's memory can be made to the Massachusetts Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired.
