She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Leonard; her parents, Anna Brown and Larry Brown; and her brothers, Walter, Roy and Tommy.
She is survived by: her children, Theresa (Jack Cherry) of South Boston, Wendy (late Ralph Willis) of Maine, Thomas Hayes Jr. of Brockton, Pamela (late James Madonna) of Sandwich, Kevin Hayes of Brockton, Frank Hayes of Brockton and Nora (Ernest Risti) of Bridgewater; and her siblings, Anna, Lulu, Carlo of Taunton, Joey of Quincy, Margaret of South Boston and Larry of Roslindale. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, who all know her as "Nana".
