With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert J. Murphy of South Boston, Massachusetts, born in Malden, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 9, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James F. Murphy and Daisy A. Murphy (Graves); and his brother Kenneth P. Murphy. He is survived by: his children, Timothy R. Murphy (Patti) of Providence, RI, James L. Murphy of Reading, Lisa E. Murphy, Boston and Scott W. Murphy (Haruko) of Medford; his grandchildren, Kristina, Jillian, Erin, Mackenzie and Cameron; his great grandchildren, Layla and Knight; and his former wife Lois R. MacElhiney of Reading.
