It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Robert F. Shields of South Boston, Massachusetts, born in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, who passed away at the age of 90, on May 16, 2022. He was predeceased by: his spouse Jean A. Shields (Mason); and his brother Richard Shields of Dedham. He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Shields-Rutyna of Acton and Susan Shields (Marc Dumas) of Reading; his sisters, Anna McCarney of Venice, FL and Mary Lou Costello of Milford; and his grandchildren, Brett, Alison Rutyna, Scott, Kyle and Ethan Dumas. He is also survived by many other relatives and close friends.

In lieu of flowers donations in Bob's memory may be made to the Castle Island Association, 170 Evergreen Ave, Braintree, MA 02184.
