Richard W. Egan Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard W. Egan of South Boston, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph G. Egan and Jane M. Egan (Hampston); and his siblings, Joseph, Thomas, James, Lawrence, David, George, Edward, Paul, Dorothy Egan and Patricia Shickolovich.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Katharine and Callan Elizabeth; his brothers, John, Robert and William; and his nephew Thomas Maloney (Shannon).
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Casper Funeral Home (187 Dorchester St, Boston, MA 02127). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Gate of Heaven Church (615 E 4th St, South Boston, MA 02127). A burial was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at the Mount Hope Cemetery (355 Walk Hill St, Boston, MA 02131).
