He was predeceased by: his siblings, Mary Flaherty, William Danny Burke (John) and Robert Burke. He is survived by: his wife Joan Burke (Hamilton) of South Boston; his children, Maureen Burke of South Boston, Michael Burke of South Boston and Joseph Burke (Nancy) of Holly Spring, NC.; his sister Rita Burke (Helen Larson) of Braintree; and his grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, Michael, Kasey, Brendan, Julianne, Thomas, James and Teagan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home (785 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Brigid's Church (841 E Broadway, Boston, MA 02127). A burial was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Cedar Grove Cemetery (920 Adams St, Boston, MA 02124).
