We are sad to announce that on November 6, 2018, Mary E. Whelan (South Boston, Massachusetts) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her child Mark McCormack; and her sibling Carol. She is survived by: her children, Jean Shoulla (Paul) of South Boston and Catherine Mullen (Dennis); her grandchildren, Ryan, Casey, Amanda, Alexandra and Kayla; and her siblings, Leo and Theresa. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary's memory can be made to, American Foundation for the Prevention of Suicide, 120 Wall Street, 29th Floor, New York NY, 10005.
