He was predeceased by: his parents, James Zenon Kay (Kwiatkowski) and Therese Lillian Kay (Greenier); and his brothers, David Alan Kay and Robert Drew Kay. He is survived by: his son Matthew Donnelly (Matthew Zenon Kay); his brothers, James Dana Kay and Thomas Kevin Kay; his nieces, Tanya Kay, Mandy Kay, Nicole Kay, Cheyenne Kay and Kristin Kay; and his nephew David Kay.

Memorial Donations in Dennis's memory may be sent to St Judes Research Hospital.
