With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary J. Dowd of Somerville, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 10, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband John J. Dowd; her son Daniel J Dowd; her siblings, Theresa and James Bradley (Ann); and her brother-in-law James Fallon.
She is survived by: her children, Diane M. Dowd of Charlestown, Nancy McCune (David) of North Reading and Stephen A. Dowd (Margaret) of Somerville; her sister Kathleen Fallon of Billerica; her grandchildren, Christopher Dowd (Jessica) of Billerica, Jennifer Purpura (Anthony), Thomas "Ted" Dowd, Caitlin Rodrigue (Tyler) of Sarasota and Megan McCune of North Reading; her great grandchildren, Briana, Colton Dowd and Maeve Rodrigue; and also Debra Dowd of North Cambridge. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews along with the many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St Mary's Parish, Charlestown, where Mary received all of her sacraments or to the charity of one's choice.
