With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Catherine M. Post of Somerville, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Catherine left this world on January 7, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband William D. Post of Somerville; her parents, John Hughes of Malden and Anna Mae Hughes of Malden; her son Lawrence G. Post (Susan Callahan Post) of Somerville; and her sisters, Irene Hughes, Dorothy Hughes of Malden and Margaret Hughes of Reading.
She is survived by: her sons, William D. Post, Jr. (Frances) of Brookfield and Stephen M. Post (Virginia) of Somerville; her grandchildren, Michael, Laura, Katie, Julia, Stephen Michael, Sam and Sean; and her great grandchildren, Madeleine, James, Colin, Bridget, Benjamin and Stella June. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 6:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the George L Doherty Funeral Service (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144).
