She was predeceased by: her parents, John Riley and Mary Riley of Fall River; and her siblings, Edward Meehan, Grace Heywood, Doris Lingard, Beverly Bettencourt, Marylou McGovern and Francis Riley.
She is survived by: her husband John Phelan; her son John Phelan (Libby); her grandchildren, Miranda and Zachary; and her siblings, Marilyn Chaves and John Riley. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Maureen's name may be made to the American Cancer Society (Cancer.org).
