He was predeceased by: his parents, John Soares and Umbelina Soares (Charves); his wife Helen J. Soares (Silvia); and his siblings, Evelyn Duff, Manuel, William, John, Antone and Joseph Soares.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas A. Soares (Diane) and Paula G. Soares (Tom Franek); his sister Olive Oliveira; his grandchildren, Rebecca, Corylyn and Rachel; his great grandchildren, Camden, Auron, Cailyn and Finn; and also Antone Soares.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hathaway Community Home For Funerals (900 Buffinton St, Somerset, MA 02726). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the HATHAWAY COMMUNITY HOME FOR FUNERALS (900 Buffinton St, Somerset, MA 02726). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick's Church (306 South St, Somerset, MA 02726).
In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the Somerset Fire Department 475 County Street, Somerset, MA 02726 to purchase a tool in Arthur's name.
