It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Valerie J. Gannon of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 20, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John S. Blackett and Constance Blackett (Lundgren); and her nephew Edward E. Gannon. She is survived by: her husband John F. Gannon; her sons, Jeffrey S. Gannon (Janet) of Chatham, Michael J. Gannon (Kristin Nicastro-Gannon) of Burbank, CA and Peter S. Gannon of Shrewsbury; her grandchildren, Abigail, Matthew, Grace and Zachary Gannon; her sisters, Patricia Gannon (Lawrence) of Shrewsbury and Eileen Dorrington (Ted) of Wethersfield, CT; and her brother-in-law Stephen T. Gannon (Betty) of Richmond, VA.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home (648 Main St, Shrewsbury, MA 01545). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. Mary's Church (640 Main St, Shrewsbury, MA 01545).
