She was predeceased by: her husband Lendon E. Barnes; her parents, Walter E. Birnie and Bertha D. Birnie (Graves); and her siblings, James Birnie and Mary Shapazian.
She is survived by: her children, David E. Barnes (Denise) of Holden, Barbara E. Verdini (Henry) of Holland, Martha J. Grant (Michael) of Shrewsbury and Susan Barnes (Edward Mulhearn) of Oxford; her grandchildren, Adam, Traci, Zachary, Kristen, Andrew, Daniel and Amanda; and her great grandchildren, Paige, Gwen, Jillian, Olivia, Ethan and Benjamin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends.
