He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie May Wells (Waire) and John Hodgest; the mother of his children Eula M. Waire (Madison); his son Lawrence Mason; and his siblings, Michael, John Hodgest, Rosie Shields (Hodgest) and Rose Hargrove.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce Waire of Stone Mountain, GA. and James S. Waire (Michelle) of Millbury; his stepsister Marion Davis of Worcester; and his grandchildren, Shavon Walker, Kayla Waire, Kia Waire, Mathias Waire and Maya Waire. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
