Elizabeth Greene Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Greene of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, born in Millbury, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 16, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert W. "Bob" Greene; her parents, Frederick Army and Elizabeth Army (Bowman); her siblings, Doris Powers, Ethel McGrath, Thomas Army and Chester Army; her brothers-in-law, James McGrath, Sr. and Ed Powers; and her parents-in-law, Mary Greene (Wilson) and Benjamin Greene.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary E. Greene-Carlin (James F. Carlin) of Shrewsbury; her grandchildren, Robert S. Jones and Molly E. Jones; her niece Helen Hawes of New York; and her nephews, Ronald Army (Susan) of Connecticut and Robert Army (Monique) of Vermont. She is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, funeral services will be private and by invitation only from the family. Mary will host a memorial cookout at Betty's home sometime next summer when COVID is more under control.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in Betty's name, to St. Mary's School, 16 Summer Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
