He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Hughes and Mary Hazel Miles; his wife Elizabeth Dole Hughes; his siblings, Elizabeth Hughes and David Hughes; and his grandson Evan Hughes.
He is survived by: his children, Anne Crozier, Joan Moreau, Hugh Hughes and Edward Hughes. He is also survived by his 25 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
