With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David P. Nelson Jr. (Shrewsbury, Massachusetts), born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 5, 2025 at the age of 61. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David P. Nelson Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He is survived by: his daughter Emily J. Nelson of Shrewsbury; his sisters, Kim R. Teixeira (Steven) of Grafton, Darlyn Nelson (Stephen Olson) of Shrewsbury and Gayle Bouvier (Todd Keefe) of Webster; his in-laws, Tricia A. Scannell Laursen (Doug) of Shrewsbury, Richard P. Scannell (Molly) of Arlington and Lynn E. Scannell Laursen (Bill) of Harvard; and his brother Paul Fairhurst of Harwich. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
A wake was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eastern Shores Club (206 S Quinsigamond Ave, Shrewsbury, MA 01545). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Mary's Church (640 Main St, Shrewsbury, MA 01545). A burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at the Mountain View Cemetery (22 Boylston St, Shrewsbury, MA 01545).
