With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Antonio J. Mattero of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale Mattero and Angelina Mattero (Bosco); his son Pasquale "Patsy" Mattero; and his siblings, Gaetano of Shrewsbury, Ferdinando, Salvatore, Augustino of Italy, Christina Mastrogiacomo of Shrewsbury, Maria Soldano and Anna Gentile of Italy.
He is survived by: his wife Michelina Mattero (Maggiore); his sons, John Mattero of Shrewsbury, Bartolomeo Mattero of Worcester and Antonio Mattero (Laurie) of Worcester; his grandsons, Anthony and Mason; and his siblings, Caterina Nardella of Shrewsbury and Vincent Mattero (Shirley) of Shrewsbury. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM at the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel (370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint Anne's Church (130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545). A burial was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (22 Boylston St, Shrewsbury, MA 01545).
