He was predeceased by: his granddaughter Sakeena Miller. He is survived by: his parents, Robert Ashley and Dorothy Ashley (Reese); his wife Philistine Ashley (Weeks); and his children, Gregory Ashley of Maryland, David Ashley of Texas, Audrey Ashley-Nance of Maryland, Phyllis Thomas of Maryland and Rhonda Ashley-Rogers of Maryland. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
