It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William H Stafford (Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts), who passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Stafford (Stacy) and W. Payson Stafford; his stepdaughter Tracy Kirby Dunagan; and his cousins, Esther, Ralph and Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sumner (Herzig); his sister Nancy Peck (Harvey) of Shelburne; his nieces, Barbara Giguere of Shelburne and Janet Cross of Shelburne; his children, Todd Sumner (Mark Melchior) of Groton, MA, Eric Sumner (Mary) of Heath and Ree Martin (Edward) of Northfield; his stepdaughter Laurie Kirby (Daryl Bishop) of Virginia; his friend Jack Cable of Springfield, Vermont.; and his caregivers, Rosie, Helen, Melissa, LeEllen and Dawn.
