It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward C. Coates (Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts), born in Montague, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 17, 2022, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan Coates and Sylvia Coates (Baxter); his wife Christine Coates; and his brother Richard Coates. He is survived by: his sons, Ed Coates of Turners Falls and Douglas Coates of Charlemont; his grandchildren, Ivy and Jaxstyn Coates; and his siblings, Gerald of Charlemont, Charles of Charlemont, Robert Coates of Charlemont, Sharon Shippee of Buckland, Linda Twete of Alaska, Darlene Barbeau of Charlemont, Marlene Coates of Florida, MA and Cheryl Yates of Turners Falls. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
