Stevens and Judith L. Gilvey (Sympson); his godparents, Martin and Shirley Joyce of Cincinnati, OH.; and his grandmother Challenger Ball. He was also cherished by uncles, aunts, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nolan's memory to the ARC of Massachusetts or the American Brain Foundation.
