He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Porter and Dorothy Joyce (Lamoretti); his sister Dorothy Wilson; and his half-siblings, Eileen Lambert, Anne Joyce and Bobby Joyce.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Porter of Dorchester, Michelle Porter of Stoughton and Russell Porter (Pauline) of Bothell, Washington.; his grandchildren, Hannah, Emily, Jasmine, Allison and Ty; his sister Jean Falvey; and his half-siblings, Elizabeth Hawes, Frances Cardullo and Arthur Joyce. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
