He was predeceased by: his spouse Claire Marie Anne Powers (Tetreault); his parents, Clarence Edward and Margie Kathryn Powers (Miller); his brother Philip Powers; his brother-in-law John Shafer; and his great-nephew Grant Madden.
He is survived by: his sisters, Bette Ann Shafer of Maryland and Marcia Jean Procino (Ronald) of Maryland. He is also survived by two nieces, three grandnieces, a grandnephew, several cousins and dear friends.
