It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Normand O. Hamel (Seekonk, Massachusetts), born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, who passed away on April 16, 2019, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha E. Hamel (Allard); his parents, Conrad Hamel and Emerentienne Hamel (Tetreault); and his son Jacques Hamel (Jack). He is survived by: his children, Normand Hamel of Waltham, MA, Christine Fassi of Las Cruces, NM, Catherine Riendeau of Seekonk, MA, Mark Hamel of Pawtucket, RI, Thomas Hamel of Pawtucket, RI, Genevieve Hamel of Pawtucket, RI and Eric Hamel of Rehoboth, MA; and his siblings, Rolande Cote of Myrtle Beach, SC, Rene Hamel, Conrad Hamel of Cumberland, RI and Robert Hamel of Fairport, NY.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
