It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilchrist Garvey of Seekonk, Massachusetts, born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, who passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy I. Garvey (Vine); his parents, Lawrence Garvey and Eliza Garvey (Hunter); his son Mark Garvey (late Diane); and also Clinton Goddard.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Garvey (Patricia) of North Kingstown, RI, David Garvey (Cindy) of Chattanooga, TN and Lisa Brainerd (Greg) of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren.
