He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Jack, Gary and Pat; his mother Irene; his children, Gayle Curran Petersen, Gregory Curran and Christine Curran; his grandchildren, Joshua, Faith, Jessica and Maximus; and his sisters, Donna Merlino and Joan Howlett.

It's said that Alzheimer's is "the long goodbye" – a truly accurate description of the progression of this disease.
