Ruth Downton Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Downton in Scituate, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 29, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Strachan and Amelia Strachan of Everett, Massachusetts.; her husband George S. Downton; and her son Donald E. Lovendale. She is survived by: her children, John C. Lovendale, William P. Lovendale, Beth McHoul, Kathleen Lovendale and Charleen Villari; and her sister Dorothy Lovendale. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions the funeral will be held on Friday June 5th with immediate family only in Scituate.
