It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert A. Young of Scituate, Massachusetts, born in Barnstable, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 13, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Young and Helen Young (Gorman); his children, Scituate and Robert A. Young Jr.; and his siblings, Gordon "Gig" Young and Beverly Rader.
He is survived by: his wife Eileen Young (Doucet); his daughters, Kathleen and Martha Young of Coventry; his grandchildren, Colleen, Richard Anthony, Sarah, Carver, Michael and Daniel; and his son-in-law Scituate Fire Chief Richard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and a host of friends, fraternal organization brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to Shriners' Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114, where he volunteered hundreds of hours of service over the course of his lifetime.
