He was predeceased by: his spouse Gail Anne Partridge (Phelan); and his parents, Richard Partridge and Gladys Partridge. He is survived by: his children, Richard D. Partridge III (Sheryl Partridge), Judith Partridge of Lowell, Cynthia Partridge of Wilmington and Lynne Partridge of Scituate. He is also survived by his fifteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
