He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hanlon and Mary Hanlon (Connell); and his brother William Hanlon Jr.. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Hanlon (Heffernan); his children, Heather Gesing (Rand W. Gesing, Jr.) of New Canaan, CT and Kati Mayo (Sean Mayo) of Charlotte, NC.; his grandchildren, Alexandria, Rand III, Jane, Lola and Declan; and his siblings, Mary Jo Jones, John Hanlon, Patricia Souke and Thomas Hanlon.
