He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Pitten and Theresa Pitten (Alpino). He is survived by: his wife Joyce Marie Pitten (Guinta); his sons, Frank Pitten (Susan), Rick Pitten (Liz Vautour) of Scituate, MA and Tom Pitten (Kathy) of Merrimack, NH.; his sisters, Donna Marie Lazuta (late Gene) of Sedona, AZ and Donna Rose Daiuto (Vic) of Strongsville, Ohio.; his grandchildren, John, Michael, Nikki, Caroline, Kelly, Kayli, Andrew and Christian; his stepgrandson Brad; and his siblings, Katy, Matt and Anthony. He is also survived by his numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Cleveland Clinic for Heart and Vascular Research.
