He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnaldo Barbosa and Bibia Barbosa (Monteiro); his daughter Ann Margaret Barbosa; and his brother Carlos Barbosa. He is survived by: his wife Catherine G. Barbosa (Monteiro); his children, Jennifer J. Zarrella (Eric) of Easton and Joshua J. Barbosa; his siblings, Mario Barbosa (Maria) of Pembroke, Candida Barbosa-Pinto (Ulysses) of Praia, Cabo Verde, Tony Barbosa, Homero Barbosa and Osvaldo Barbosa; and his mother-in-law Benvinda Monteiro of Scituate. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
