He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. McCarty and Margaret H. McCarty (Bieber). He is survived by: his children, Harry B. McCarty, Jr. and Jane Etherton (France) of Saint Thomas de Conac; and his grandchildren, Rachel of Peace Dale and William of Annandale. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews.
